Starting with the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's release, to trainers developing strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are.
