Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Known For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Dies at the Age of Sixty.
American entertainer Finn, who appeared in popular TV shows such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist died at home in Los Angeles this Monday after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, according to reports.
"He never met a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his relatives said in a message.
They added that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".
A Prolific Career on Screen
Finn's first television role was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.
He was also seen in a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on several hit series, including:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
His most famous role for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His work in movies encompass It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-member improv team called Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and it would be difficult to find a person who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.
The actor is survived by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his family.
