9. Hazbin Hotel Season 2

Showrunner Vivienne Medrano's boldly transgressive mature musical-comedy show, which sprang from a fan-funded pilot, fully came into its own in its sophomore season. Building on the climactic revelations of season 1, the story expands significantly, following the scheming TV demon Vox as he takes control of the situation, igniting a chain of increasingly dramatic conflicts that inevitably end in show-stopping musical numbers.

While it might not have a one breakout hit quite like season one's "iconic tune," this is due to each element in this season being increasingly interwoven. The action, character arcs, and above all the score and songs are collectively more sophisticated. The story moves the main storyline dramatically while providing plenty of weird, unhinged, and simply entertaining dark fantasy.

8. Daredevil: Born Again

As a successor to the legendary Netflix show, Daredevil: Born Again had immense shoes to fill. After well-documented production challenges, the final show proves to be worthy of the effort. The story centers on Matt Murdock once his secret identity as Daredevil is publicly revealed, leaving him a target to enemies from his history and present in a refreshed version of his well-known world.

The premiere is explosive, capturing the intense feeling fans loved from the prior incarnation. Although the subsequent episodes venture into certain different territory, the season finishes on a strong note, leaving fans eagerly anticipating a follow-up installment.

7. Common Side Effects

A unexpected 2025 gem, this series is essentially a crime saga with a humor of a suburban satire. Helmed by Joe Bennett alongside writer Steve Hely, it tells the story of a nerdy fungi expert who discovers a miraculous mushroom and quickly finds himself hunted by everyone from ruthless Big Pharma executives to federal authorities.

Far from being a spoof, the narrative unfolds with the serious intensity of a 1970s conspiracy film. Accentuated by hallucinogenic visuals and an unnerving musical soundtrack, the story delves into deeper mysteries about the mushroom's true effects. It's a smart, beautifully animated, and completely gripping ten-episode season.

6. Fallout Season 2

The hit adaptation of the popular video game series returned with a new season of stories that expanded its epic mystery and expanded its nuclear wasteland setting. Although it travels in the direction of the fan-favorite location of New Vegas, the season is far from a direct retelling of that title; instead, it further examine ideas of control and autonomy.

The show expertly balances several narrative threads and perspectives, from the protagonist's mission for justice to Maximus's reckoning with the dogma of the Brotherhood of Steel. The outcome is a deeply detailed and wholly engaging addition to the expanding wasteland saga.
