Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Mr. 2. This character can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.
Escola joins multiple recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, featuring head the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Though the role is a important part of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
